We’re currently seeking a friendly, outgoing, full-time receptionist with 5-plus years of experience in the optometry field. This team member gives customers their first impression of our eye boutique, and that means they’re a vital part of CustomEyes!
Duties
As our receptionist, you’d have multiple duties, including these:
- Welcoming patients
- Scheduling appointments and answering patients’ questions
- Using a multiline phone system
- Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information
- Verifying insurance benefits and demonstrating familiarity with vision and medical insurance
- Protecting patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Performing basic administrative duties
- Multitasking
- Using skills such as customer service, organization and attention to detail
- Demonstrating professionalism, quality focus and team collaboration
- Helping the store team maintain the boutique’s visual objectives and housekeeping standards by straightening merchandise and assisting with floor and fixture changes
- Helping patients select frames
Please note electronic medical record system knowledge is a plus (Crystal EMR). Additionally, you must be able to work Saturdays (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
Our current optician job opportunities include a full-time optician/lab technician with 5-plus years of experience to work in a private-practice setting. This team member must demonstrate outstanding customer service and leadership on the salesfloor.
Duties
As an optician/lab technician, your duties would include the following:
- Learning the policies and procedures necessary for opening, closing and operating the store
- Supporting and helping the management team achieve all customer service and sales goals, as the store manager defines
- Helping replenish inventory
- Demonstrating experience with all duties associated with finishing lab and pretesting patients
- Understanding medical and vision insurance as well as optical sales and lens materials
- Filling ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions
- Fitting and adapting lenses and frames
- Performing additional duties, which may include these:
- Using an optical prescription, then evaluating that prescription in conjunction with customers’ visual requirements
- Recommending specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit customers’ needs
- Helping customers select frames
- Coordinating frames with customers’ optical measurements and prescriptions
- Using the appropriate tools to measure bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance and optical centers
- Helping the store team maintain the boutique’s visual objectives and housekeeping standards by straightening merchandise and assisting with floor and fixture changes
- Performing other tasks, as any member of management assigns
