Receptionist

In addition to Optician job opportunities, we are always on the lookout for dedicated individuals with experience in administrative support. We are currently seeking a friendly, outgoing, full-time receptionist with 5+ years of experience in the optometry field. This team member gives customers their first impression of the boutique and is thus a vital component of CustomEyes.

DUTIES INCLUDE
  • Welcoming patients
  • Scheduling appointments and answering patient questions
  • Using a multi-line phone system
  • Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
  • Verifying insurance benefits and demonstrating familiarity with vision/medical insurances
  • Protecting patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
  • Basic administrative duties
  • Multi-tasking, Customer Service, Organization, Attention to Detail, Professionalism, Quality Focus, Team Player
  • Electronic medical record system knowledge is a plus (Crystal EMR)
  • Saturday hours are required (9am-2pm)
  • Assisting the store team in maintaining the store’s visual objectives and housekeeping standards by straightening merchandise and assisting in floor and fixture changes
  • Assisting patients with frame selection

Optician/Lab Technician

Our current Optician job opportunities include a full-time lab technician/optician with 5+ years of experience to work in a private practice setting. This team member is responsible for demonstrating outstanding customer service and leadership on the selling floor.

  • Learning the policies and procedures necessary for opening, closing, and operating the store
  • Supporting and assisting the Management team in achieving all customer service and sales goals as defined by the Store Manager
  • Assisting in replenishing inventory
  • Demonstrating experience with all duties associated with finishing lab, pre-testing patients, and understanding medical/vision insurance as well as optical sales/lens materials
  • Filling ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fitting and adapting lenses and frames; additional duties include but are not limited to the following:
    • Utilizing optical prescription, evaluating prescription in conjunction with customer’s visual requirements
    • Recommending specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit customer needs
    • Assisting customers in the selection of frames and coordinating frames with optical measurements and prescription
    • Conducting measurements of bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance and optical centers using appropriate tools
  • Assisting the store team in maintaining the store’s visual objectives and housekeeping standards by straightening merchandise and assisting in floor and fixture changes
  • Demonstrating familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (Crystal EMR)
  • Any other tasks as assigned by any member of management
  • Saturday availability required from 9am-2pm
